SlideShare.net Rocks! Here's a collection of power points
important for Catholic Youth Ministry. Some are mine - - as part of the
FirstUp series of trainings, such as September's
Refocusing Catholic Youth Ministry. Others are just cool and
worth a look!.
www.catholicYMblog.com has been affirmed as
the "411 of Catholic Youth Ministry." Really, it is a simple little BLOG
from one corner of the Catholic Youth Ministry field.
Also, please check out:
A
weekly podcast
(every Wednesday) visiting with youth ministry
leaders about discipleship, best moments, and pizza preferences.
The
Archdiocese of Baltimore sponsored a "Bishops' Summit on the
Sacrament of Confirmation". This site holds the videos, podcasts,
hand-outs and blogging related to the event.
PILGRIMAGE '08 (To view with full screen, go to the SlideShare page here.)For the Youth Contact meeting on Saturday, I've prepared two
presentations to help promote the annual Youth and Young Adult
Pilgrimage This first one will be offered as
you see and hear while the staff provides a voiced-over overview of the
annual tradition.

LET'S GET IT STARTED (To view with full screen or comment or contribute to the

was our new youth ministers orientation. It's an effort to
mind-meld as much possible information in one day regarding youth
ministry in the Archdiocese.[work day]

REFOCUSING CATHOLIC YOUTH MINISTRY (To view with full screen or comment or contribute to the
conversation, go to the SlideShare page
here.) Is it time to re-vision the Vision of Youth Ministry? And
if so, what should our focus be? Guests on this ambitious SlideShare slidecast include Jeff Kaster,
Mike
Carottafrom inside the youth ministers' studio,
and Sharon Bogusz from the
Confirmation Summit.
If you could point towards the future of Catholic Youth Ministry, in
which direction should we go?? [slideshare]
DID YOU KNOW?
Another SlideShare
moment. Shift is happening. . . are we ready for it? Who is the
richest in the world, has the largest military, is the center of
world business and finance, with the strongest education system, serves
as the world center on innovation and invention, with a currency as the
world standard of values, and has the highest standard of living. USA!
USA! USA! but, it was England in the 1900's and might it eventually
become India and/or China later in the 2000's? Shift is happening.

POWER POINT BASICS And this is why
SlideShare.net
is rocking my world right now. The ability to
freely share information, provide training, and posit a latest theory in
a non-gathered venue is revolutionary. SlideShare also allows audio to
be attached as well. Surely, the .ppt file attached here may very well
have been a 45 minute presentation. You can get all the info you
need from it in a five minute review. Slide to note: (16)
How presentations work ?
Significance creates passion
Passion attract attention ?

FIRST UP - - THE "DRAFT" EDITION Next month, we will start
a new feature here on the site. A power point with audio on a
catholic youth ministry topic that was prepared exclusively for the web
site. In the meantime, here's the prototype of what we plan to achieve.
You have a quickie power point tour of the web site accompanied by an
even less intentional .mp3 audio. On September 1, this new feature
will be first-up for the month and we'll really give this thing a real
work-out then.
